So it's now been four weeks...yeah that's right FOUR WEEKS since my last cigarette!
I wish I could say we were 1/2 way through the weaning period...but no! Although we are almost done with Step 1. This step is six weeks on a 21mg patch. At the end of six weeks you "step" down to 14mg for two weeks and then another "step" down to a 7mg patch for another two weeks and that's it.
I'll post again when I start Step 2. In my opinion this will be another hard step. The first being stopping the act of lighting a cigarette and inhaling it. As you may remember from previous posts that this had a few ups and downs. However, even though no smoking is involved there has been no reduction in nicotine. Step 2 will be the first decrease in nicotene, so I'm sure there will be issues.

I'm going to be following your progress because I'm thinking of doing the same.
I am so proud of you!!
Thanks for picking us up at the airport saturday. Sadly, the dollar I gambled for you was last to the casino. The dollars I gamblied for myself were also lost. Tsk Tsk.
skytower: Thanks for the encouragement...I know what you mean about the first month :)
jay: I highly recommend it. It's tough but I feel alot better not to mention the $$ savings.
TAH: Thanks and your welcome. Too bad about the gambling :( I was so hoping you were going to win big and take me away from all this madness.
Good Luck on your decision to stop smoking! I haven't been able to do it myself but I wish I could someday . . .
